Producer/guitarist Jake Morelli is a 3rd generation musician originally from NY (now living in Philadelphia, PA). He has worked with some of today's top artists: Bruno Mars, Ed Sheeran, The Roots, Jonas Brothers, Quincy Jones, Grace Potter, Hunter Hayes, Daru Jones, Roberta Flack, NEYO, Queen Latifah, Kathy Sledge (Sister Sledge), Esperanza Spalding, Lauryn Hill, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Nicole Scherzinger (Pussycat Dolls), Rodney Holmes (Santana), K’Naan, Musiq Soulchild, Vivian Green, Chubb Rock, Kindred the Family Soul, Brass Heaven, Cash $, Floetry, T.M Stevens (Miles Davis) and Village People. He has performed on NBC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live!, NBC’s Wawa Welcome America, Fox's New Year's Eve With Steve Harvey: Live From Times Square, CNN’s New Year’s Eve Live w/ Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen, ESPN (Charles Barkley/Puma), TBN (Tye Tribbett), ABC’s Live w/ Regis & Kelly, MTV, VH1 (Soul City) and on many radio stations worldwide. When not performing - or producing music for various artists and companies from his brother-in-law drummer Questlove’s Philly recording studio, Jake works as a social media influencer and is heavily endorsed by the following companies: Ibanez, Antelope Audio, Arturia, Waves, Rob Papen, BenQ, Zenni Optical and Brooklyn Cloth to name a few. Acting as a liaison between artist and company is a natural fit for Jake, and in 2020, he would expand on that idea not just from a business perspective but from a charitable one. In partnership with dozens of companies, at the height of the pandemic, Jake crafted a charitable campaign, a weekly initiative entitled, Goodnews Giveaway which provided artists with free gear. The initiative and conversations with companies and artists inspired his debut single, “Memory” ft Nahla Bee (Jan ‘21). Jake’s early influences inform his approach to music and business. He remembers, “By 4 years old, my dad, a drummer, would bring me into local NY establishments to play guitar, sing the blues and pass around the cowboy hat to earn $ for video games.” His uncle Bob Morelli (former President of Sony/RED and owner/CEO of Cool Is Forever Consulting) and godfather Howie Blauvelt (bassist, singer with Billy Joel and The Hassels and Ram Jam “Black Betty '') were also mentors. Today he finds his own role as mentor the most gratifying. As a dedicated teaching artist and educator for the last 10 years, Jake hopes to help develop and train the next generation of Philadelphia area musicians and producers. Allyship, equity, inclusion and advocacy in music spaces (and beyond) are values Jake believes in and practices. He attended The Philadelphia Recording Academy's Advocacy Town Hall, as well as, the Pass The Aux initiative as a featured producer. Embodying multi-hyphenate at its best, Jake is a collaborator at heart. He is also husband and creative partner to singer-songwriter Donn T (President of The Recording Academy, Philadelphia Chapter) and father to Soren, a college freshman at University of Arizona.
